A full day by 4x4 south of Agadir into the country known as the Small Sahara, where the Anti-Atlas flattens out into open desert. Along the way you stop in Berber villages, walk through palm plantations and visit the Youssef Ben Tachfine Dam, a vast reservoir set against bare mountains. Lunch is included, and the drive itself — long, empty roads with changing landscape on either side — is a large part of the day.
